Something like what’s in the photo. A dark mountain and sky, blocking full view of the sun, not caring if it’s sunrise or sunset. In my head, there’s no light,t and the mountain is crushing me.
**I know that’s a beautiful picture of a mountain. I think it’s in Nepal, which was in the description when I clicked on it.
I’d been feeling like that most of last week, dreading going to a No Kings meeting. Actually enjoyed the event.
I don’t know which came first: the feelings of dread or the daily headaches, which didn’t reach migraine status until Friday.
And it was a very good week: Monday was my 41st wedding anniversary. Scotty and I went to the Overland Park Arboretum, where we sat down with Monet.

But then the news crap just got busy with my head. I thought I could never put into words all the dread I feel about everything.
But you know, it’s a good thing to have a reminder of that sweet day, a week ago.
Friday, the 13th, when I read about the governor of Missouri calling on the National Guard for rallies in St Louis and Kansas City, I thought, no way should we be going to this.
But we went, all three of us. And a friend joined us at one point. It was a beautiful sunny day.
And an exhilarating, well-attended, AND peaceful demonstration. When someone with a bullhorn shouts: “TELL ME WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!!”
Answer: “THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!!”

Okay, looking at these pictures and writing this post makes me feel good. Hope they have the same effect on you!

I’m glad you went Eri! We’ve got this. There are enough of us to move mountains! 🩷💕
