November is here, time to write a novel!

November 1st, I made my first goal!

Already you’re groaning: Is she just writing about her NaNo novel now this month? Can I push the snooze button on my subscription?

I just wanted to let you know and I’ll do this at least once a week— about my novel-writing progress.

1772 words today. My goal was to write at least 1667.

And I started a novel in which Noreen Peretz, in 1967, my main character is in middle school. And suddenly she’s whisked away to a place she’s sure she knows, only it isn’t and somehow she’s managed to take 2 people with her: a new friend, Charles, and a new neighbor, the annoying and nosy Suzy Knopf.

I honestly don’t know how it’s going to go. We’ll see.
